Hello everyone! I know I’ve been not very active for months, I deeply apologize, I ...

Hi! Thanks for sharing your movie review. I enjoyed the movie overall, too. Have seen it twice and plan to see it again.

But I did not enjoy the way Natasha was presented per the script. The Natasha/Bruce relationship felt contrived and forced to me. Unnecessary. That Natasha was Ultron’s prisoner (why didn’t he kill her?) and couldn’t escape a cell seemed ludicrous and demeaning. Too much of her “development” seemed to be as a foil to add gravitas to Hulk’s departure at the end of the film. She seemed out of character to me, not as capable or strong or self-reliant as Natasha always has been before. I also thought that her defining herself as a monster because others sterilized her, rather than because of all of the murder/other heinous crimes she’s committed was appalling. My discomfort RE Natasha was more pronounced on repeat view.

One running joke on other sites is that the reason Pepper was absent was because she would have shut Tony down and there wouldn’t have been a movie at all. Tony’s character was presented with a believable progression. RDJ is great, of course, but it’s more that Joss Whedon loves that character and writes him well.

I wished for more Thor. Was neutral about the Barton family. Agree with your thoughts there. Thought Bruce less deep and strong and a little TOO nerdy. Liked War Machine’s parts. Worried that if I blinked I would miss Falcon (love him!). Vision was lovely. Ultron… okay. Spader’s voice is creepy, to be sure.

As for Steve… Chris looked amazing and the costume people outdid themselves. Chris was wonderful with the material he was given. Seeing Peggy again and their half-second dance broke my heart into a billion pieces. His loss and PTSD were palpable. But to delve into Steve’s deepest fears/regrets requires the inclusion/presence of Bucky Barnes. His absence was jarring and too noticeable. I also disagreed with Steve thinking himself “home” at the new base. He seems like such a depressed, lost soul.

So, I liked the movie. It’s probably my 5th fave Marvel film so far (1-CA Winter Soldier, 2- Iron Man, 3-Avengers, 4- Guardians)

i agree with you about natasha, she is the strong enough to care from herself, but here it’s look like depends too much of banner, i didn’t like that, about pepper i never liked her, was great not to see her in this movie, iron man is great like always, same with cap, but like i said i didn’t like the way that take the team.
my favorite movies are iron man 1- avengers – the winter soldier – age of ultron

Yeah right, totally agree about Natasha.

I hope there are more Thor scenes in the extended edition because it really felt like some piece was missing.

And that’s why I said that Steve was suffering, he looks so depressed. I wish I could have more time to write a longer review, I tried to focus on Steve but yes, my mother missed Falcon because she was drinking water (hahahaha).

I cannot comment (yet) about the voices because I saw it in Spanish and that’s always disappointing. Can’t wait to have it on DVD and watch it in English 😀

Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts <3

i like the movie, two thing that i don’t like
one: the sibling have too much powerful, wanda isn’t telepathy and telekinetic. Can she get inside thor’s mind? c’mon. In the comics x-men like jean grey, emma frost, charles xavier can’t do that and she can, quilsilver i don’t really care if he is dead or not,
two: that ending was horrible, the new team is horrible, i hope that the old team back.

Didn’t Joss say that the original length of the movie was like 3 hours long? So a lot of stuff ended up on the cutting room floor, they really need to stop showing us stuff in the promos if they’re not in the movie. That starting scene showing the Avengers together in one shot + Steve’s motorcycle flip-trick or whatever you want to call it was so freaking cool, party scene was fun, seeing Hulkbuster in action against the Hulk was great, James Spader did great work as the voice of Ultron, but since he got the army of Ultron’s, he didn’t do much, no villain thus far hasn’t matched Loki, I too excepted to see him, but it didn’t bother much that he wasn’t in the movie. Hawkeye got more screentime and he was pretty sassy, though I started to worry that he might die when they introduced his family and Vision looked great seen for the first time in the big screen, can’t wait to see him more in the future.

Not fully against Bruce & Natasha, but whatever happened to “there’s no time for romance, we got s**t to avenge!”? But the biggest minus is that Quicksilver died! I enjoyed the twins, didn’t see that coming, why did they killed him. Really pissed about at!

Last but not least: our beloved Cap. Loved his and Thor’s teamwork, he’s evolving and I felt like he finally let go off the past.

Can’t wait to see Cap 3 and I really want to see Steve wearing the stealth suit!

I know right about Quicksilver! I thought the rumor wasn’t true… We will have like 1 hour of deleted scenes in the bluray lol Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts 😀

Booo for that, I cried when he died! Couldn’t find Aaron Taylor-Johnson’s Marvel contract-length anywhere, I thought he signed a multi-contract…? 1 hour of deleted scenes, riiiight. The blu-ray isn’t coming fast enough though.

I actually loved AOU better than the first avengers.
I did love seeing hawkeyes family i do agree he couldve had more attention from the start!
Scarlet witch is amazing i fell in love with her!!
i was so upset when quicksilver died though haha.
The relationship between banner and natasha was really random it was like she just rocked up and decided to have feelings idk it didnt make much sense to me lol.
Chris was amazing as always and i love how much cap was in it. I definitely love him taking on more leadership too.
I could kind of see where they were similar they would both have little sarcasm moments the way tony would but they do both seem pretty different! I think there couldve been more about the vision because at some points i was kind of like ??? But yeah it would be hard to fit it all into a short time length especially since each avenger has their own story anyway!

Oh and the fact that cap lifted thors hammer a tiny bit made me squeal!!! That was so intense hahah. But the vision lifted it and im not sure if that could turn into a bad thing or not lol
